{"id":252,"date":"2011-07-15T13:30:35","date_gmt":"2011-07-15T11:30:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ruckh.org\/travel\/?p=252"},"modified":"2012-10-23T07:47:48","modified_gmt":"2012-10-23T05:47:48","slug":"the-missing-picture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ruckh.org\/travel\/2011\/07\/the-missing-picture\/","title":{"rendered":"The missing picture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When we started our travels, we each took one book. <a href=\"ttp:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/1846076730\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=19450&#038;creativeASIN=1846076730&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=wwwruckhorg-21\">&#8222;Russia&#8220; by Jonathan Dimbleby<\/a>, a BBC journalist who writes about his travels through Russia, from Murmansk to Vladivostok (highly recommendable, not only on tour through Russia). <a href=\"http:\/\/ruckh.org\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/20110718-015710.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ruckh.org\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/20110718-015710.jpg\" alt=\"20110718-015710.jpg\" class=\"alignleft size-small\" width=\"300\"\/><\/a>The other one was a German book called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.de\/gp\/product\/3442129524\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1638&#038;creative=19454&#038;creativeASIN=3442129524&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=travel56-21\">&#8222;Fliegen ohne Fl\u00fcgel&#8220; by Tiziano Terzani<\/a>, a journalist who worked for the Spiegel and writes in this book about his extensive travels in Asia. It&#8217;s an interesting read, but a bit too esoteric for our taste. <\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the curious thing is that since a few days, the picture of Jonathan Dimbleby on the back cover of the Russia book is missing.
