After the days in scenic Prague we had a nice and calm train ride into Poland, country #3. We found ourselves a hostel in a central location, dropped our stuff and went for dinner with Anna and Konrad, two friends of mine from Delhi days. We ended up in a beergarden type place, where we had loads of meat of all kinds. A really funny night out, thanks guys! It was really great to see you again.
Today we had an odyssee-like hunt for bus tickets in the morning (none of the agents mentioned on the web site of the operator exist anymore). And in contrast to Prague, nobody seemed to speak English here – a little preview what it’s going to be like for us in Russia… But we were more lucky after making our way to the ‚central‘ bus station in the suburbs of the city.
We checked out the new stadium for the Euro 2012, took a stroll on the river, went up the Russian-built Culture Palace and spent the afternoon in the old city. After a dinner at my favourite place on Nowy Swiat we’re making our way to the bus stop again. See you in Riga then ;-)
